• Cops Corner 12.11.25 (plantcityobserver.com) — Recent police reports detail several Plant City incidents, including a drug arrest after a crash near North Plant Avenue and West Reynolds Street, multiple DUI and suspended-license cases, and a burglary involving stolen equipment. Officers also handled fraud over an undelivered shed, trespassing after warning, and narcotics possession, with most suspects taken to Orient Road Jail.
   

• New technical college opens in Plant City for students, adults (wfla.com) — A new Hillsborough County technical college has just opened in Plant City, giving local students and adults a nearby option to earn trade certifications in fields like HVAC, welding, and construction. Leaders say Rick Lott Technical College will ease transportation barriers, address a growing shortage of skilled workers, and offer year-long programs that quickly prepare residents for solid, blue-collar careers.
   

• Transfer offensive lineman Wyatt Lawson becomes cornerstone of USD football's reworked front (mitchellrepublic.com) — A University of South Dakota football standout is proudly representing Plant City this season. Senior center Wyatt Lawson, a Plant City native and FIU transfer, has become the emotional and tactical anchor of USD’s offensive line as the Coyotes charge into the FCS quarterfinals, drawing on resilience built during an up-and-down career in Florida.
