Plant City Man Killed After Striking Guardrail With Pickup Truck

PLANT CITY, FL — A 51-year-old Plant City man has died after losing control of his pickup truck and striking a guardrail on State Road 60.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on Tuesday at 11:10 p.m., the Plant City man was driving west on State Road 60 near Smith Ryals Road when he lost control at a curve and collided with a guardrail. The truck then ricocheted back onto SR 60 and struck an embankment.

The driver died at the scene.
