Random Road Rage Shooting Claims Life Of 29-Year-Old Woman; Police Seek Answers
The victim said the driver of a Toyota Prius was driving recklessly in traffic and shot at his vehicle, killing a woman passenger.

PLANT CITY, FL — Plant City police are seeking information on a Toyota Prius involved in a road rage shooting last month that killed a 29-year-old woman.
On Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 9:12 p.m., Plant City police received a 911 call from a man who said he and his passenger, Elizabeth Barbara Arrieta, had been shot on Interstate 4.
The caller stopped his vehicle at the Plant City Fire Rescue Station 3, 1704 N. Park Road, Plant City, where fire rescue personnel provided first aid to both victims. Arrieta died at the fire station due to a gunshot to the upper body. The man suffered upper body trauma and is listed in critical condition at the hospital.

Prior to being taken to the hospital, the man told police that a man driving a gray or silver Toyota Prius with non-tinted windows shot at his vehicle before Exit 23 on Interstate 4.
The man said the driver of the Toyota Prius was driving recklessly in traffic and exhibited road rage toward the victim before shooting at the victim's vehicle.

After the shooting incident, the Prius continued east on Interstate 4.
