Business Owners Collaborate on Fashion Show

Dee Dokumaci will provide the venue and attire, while Diane Paulson will provide the talent for this fun event on Saturday afternoon.

In a terrific example of area business owners joining forces to help one another out, the Model Placement Center will be putting on a fashion show at the Rose Garden Boutique on Saturday afternoon.Β

The event, which is scheduled to begin at noon, will feature models from Diane Paulson’s downtown talent management company; they will be wearing clothing and accessories featured at Dee Dokumaci’s boutique, which is located on the corner of Main Street and Bayshore Boulevard.

β€œI just met Dee, and I love her store and her clothes,” said Paulson, who has run the Florida branch of the national agency in Safety Harbor for 12 years.Β

β€œShe’s brand new here, so I thought it would be kind to bring the models down to the store and put on a little show. It will help get the word out about her and us.”

Dokumaci, who relocated her shop from Dunedin to downtown just three months ago, was thrilled to collaborate with another local business owner; she is overwhelmed at how tight-knit the business community is here.Β

β€œI got kicked out of my shop in Dunedin after six years when my landlord raised the rent,” she related. β€œI was driving down Sunset Point Road and I saw a sign pointing to Safety Harbor.”

β€œI believe God led me here," she added. "The Chamber here takes care of its members. The other business owners have been great. It’s been just wonderful.”
