City Commission Meeting Is Tonight

The bi-weekly meeting was pushed back one day to honor the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday Monday.

Just a reminder, Harborites: the regular city commission meeting was pushed from Monday to tonight due to the celebration of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday yesterday.

The agenda for the first full meeting of Mayor Joe Ayoub's term is fairly short, although there are a few items of interest on the docket:

  • 2012 Fire Department Awards
  • Proclamation of Dr. Allen Hayes Day
  • Seafood Festival beneficiaries named

Also, there will be a public hearing for a sidewalk waiver request for the Malik property on 4th Avenue South, as well as a vote on the acceptance of a sidewalk easement between the city and the Tucker Mansion on Philippe Parkway.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, located at 750 Main St.
