City Commission Meeting Tonight
A 'no parking' zone and a resolution regarding meeting invocations are some of the items on tonight's agenda.

The Safety Harbor City Commission meets tonight, and with the Firemich proposal currently making its way through the county level, there's plenty of time to concentrate on other issues affecting the community.
One item of interest on the agenda concerns the request for a 'no parking' zone for the east side of Oak Avenue stretching from Main Street to the Los Prados condo complex at the end of the street.
According to the backup materials, a resident at 6 Oak Ave. sent a letter to the city's engineering department requesting the zone be put in place to help curtail cars affiliated with the complex from parking along the narrow street.

Another item of note is the adoption of a resolution regarding the invocations given at City Commission meetings.
Currently there is no policy for the brief prayer that is said prior to the start of every meeting. The resolution would provide an official policy for allowing representatives of all religious organizations in the city to partake in the invocations.
