Dec. 21, 2012: Riding Out the Apocalypse in Safety Harbor

Where would you go to make sure you could count yourself among the survivors?

As the often predicted end of the world approaches, we’d like to get your take on which places in Safety Harbor would be the best for riding out the chaos an apocalypse might bring.

Whether you believe in the spin on the ending of the Mayan calendar or not, we’d like to get your take on the safest places to go in the Harbor if Doomsday is really on the way.

  • Would you go hide out at one of the many local bars or restaurants in town, surrounded by food and (adult) beverages?
  • Perhaps you’d prefer the outdoors setting of Philippe Park, the marina or the John Wilson Park Gazebo?
  • Maybe you’d want to protect and preserve our culture’s history by holding up in the Safety Harbor Public Library and guarding all the books?
