Daylight Saving Time 2012: It's Almost Time to Turn the Clocks Back
Daylight saving time ends Nov. 4, so enjoy that extra hour of daylight in the morning, Harborites!

Don't forget, Harborites β daylight saving time officially ends one week from tonight.
Officially, daylight savings time 2012 ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.Β Remember, youβll βfall backβ and set your clocks back one hour.
So while we gain a precious hour of sleep, those 7:30 a.m. commutes will get darker before they get lighter.

Many electronic devices automatically adjust when daylight saving time begins or ends.Β
When you change your clocks in the fall and spring, itβs also a good time to change smoke detector batteries and check to make sure device are in working order.

- Arizona, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Savings Time.
- The correct term is actually "daylight saving time", with no 's', although both versions are commonly used and accepted. Just not by the grammar police, a.k.a editors.
The next daylight saving time begins on March 10, 2013.
