Lola’s Laces Is Up and Running

Lola’s Laces, an apparel store specializing in technical clothing that help women feel more comfortable while exercising, is now open for business. 

Following a few months of remodeling and ordering merchandise, owner Anita Martin is now selling products, which include shorts, jackets, hats, footwear and accessories.

Martin says the shop is having a soft opening on Friday night, with a grand opening scheduled for February 1^st. She says her shop isn't fully stocked right now, but she wants people to get familiar with what she's offering.

“I carry active apparel for all types of women,” Martin, a former distance runner and field hockey player, said. “This store is for any woman of any size to come in and feel more comfortable about their activity.”

Martin stressed that wearing the right clothing, called technical apparel, when doing any activity is vital to women, especially those who aren’t built like Olympic sprinters.

That’s why she carries lines that are designed to make any kind of exercise for any size woman more enjoyable.

“My prominent line is Moving Comfort. It’s an all-women’s line that makes larger sizes that are tailored to and intended for women only,” she said, adding that she also carries Saucony, ASICS and Mizuno products. 

“I’m here for the veteran athlete as well as women who have never experienced what technical clothing can do for them.”

In addition to shorts, tops, sports bras and jackets, Lola’s Laces also carries socks, sunglasses, sports tape and hydrating drink tablets; each item is designed to make exercising easier. 

With her experience in the fitness world and expertise when it comes to technical apparel, Martin is the perfect person to handle any questions when it comes to fitness and comfort.

“I’m going to be able to talk to you and help you with things the guy from the major sporting goods store can’t,” she said.

“I’m here to make you look good and feel good during any activity, whether its running, walking, playing tennis or bird watching.”
