Meet the Mayor Friday Night at the Safety Harbor Spa and Resort

Destination Tampa Bay, in partnership with the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, is hosting a special event on Friday night in honor of the city newest and departing mayors.

According to a media release, the "Meet the Mayor" event will be an opportunity to meet recently-appointed Mayor Joe Ayoub while 

giving guest an opportunity to "thank outgoing Mayor Andy Steingold for his dedicated service to the community.

In addition to the two mayors the other four current city commissioners, Nancy Besore, Cliff Merz, Nina Bandoni and Rick Blake, will also be in attendance.  

"The event is being called "Celebrate Safety Harbor" and will serve as a meet and greet for the new Mayor, an opportunity to thank Andy for his service to the City, and an opportunity for the residents to meet the rest of Commissioners," Bonnie Walters, publisher of Destination Tampa Bay, said via email.

"It should be a great event," Mayor Ayoub said recently." I'm really looking forward to it."

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by the Spa and Destination Tampa Bay magazine, while music will be provided by the Safety Harbor Musicians Cooperative. A cash bar will also be available.
