Mild Temperatures Dominate Weekend Forecast

Beach residents can plan for a weekend with mostly sunny skies and low rain chances.

As most of the northeast prepares for up to 2 feet of snow, residents of Pinellas County's beaches can pull out their shorts, T-shirts and sunglasses.

According to the National Weather Service, a comfortable weekend lies ahead in the Tampa Bay area.

Friday morning’s gray skies should give way to a day that’s mostly sunny with temperatures that climb to the mid-70s. The low Friday night, Feb. 8, will fall in around the mid-50s.

The forecast for Saturday and Sunday calls for much the same with a slight increase in both the high and low temperatures.

Residents should prepare for warmer weather heading into the workweek. The high for Monday is expected to reach about 80.
