Nantucket Bucket Nears Opening
Officials for the long-awaited downtown seafood restaurant say the eatery could be open within a couple of weeks.
Good news, Harborites – the long-anticipated opening of seafood restaurant Nantucket Bucket is reportedly right around the corner!
According to company officials, they plan on having a dry run next week before opening the doors to paying customers shortly thereafter.
“We'll be practicing on family members next week, with an opening a few days after that," Nancy Ulrich, marketing director for the restaurant said via email.

Ulrich added she does not have an exact open date at this time.
The debut of the Second Street South seafood shack has been hotly anticipated ever since the founders starting selling their fish tacos and shrimp rolls at local events like 3rd Friday and the Seafood Festival.

Since the items were such a hit with patrons, and with construction on the former location of Heather's Place in full swing throughout the summer, opening day hasn’t been able to come soon enough, both for the customers and the employees.
"With all new companies, tying up the loose ends seems to take the longest," assistant manager Amanda Atteniese said. "We are very close though, and will be sure to let everyone know when we are ready."
"Amazing service is our goal and we want to make sure it is accomplished," she added.
