Peace of Mind Body Therapy Retreat Grand Opening Today

The Third Avenue spa offers facials and a groundbreaking new skin treatment technology that is safer than surgery.

Peace of Mind Body Therapy Retreat, a new spa located on Third Avenue North downtown, is having its grand opening on Saturday.

The facility, owned by former stay-at-home mom Marie Scully, specializes in facials and microcurrentΒ procedures, a groundbreaking technology that is proving to be a safe alternative to plastic surgery.

"The microcurrent machine uses eight different currents to contract the muscles, acting like a deep tissue workout," Scully explains. "It's a great way to shape and tone the skin and get rid of cellulite."

"It's a safe alternative to plastic surgery...with no pain and no down time."

Scully learned about the technology after attending school to become an aesthetician following two decades of staying at home to raise her kids.

She chose this particular procedure because she "wanted to specialize in something that would make women feel really good about themselves."

After researching and training with the procedure in Minnesota, she decided to bring the technology home to Pinellas County, where she will be the only person in the entire Tampa Bay area offering the treatment.

"I tried it myself in Minnesota and I loved it. You can get face lift type results with no surgery," she says. "You will have a noticeable difference, and you will see results after the first time."

Scully says she recommends a package of 5-10 procedures to obtain maximum results. A facial/microcurrent combo offers the best results, and is reasonably priced at $150 for a 75-minute procedure.

This weekend for the grand opening, Scully is offering the combo treatment for $105, or "a fraction of what you would pay for a surgical procedure."

"In all my time researching this, I've never seen people not happy with it," she admits. "You will see results."
