Photo of the Day: Fire Station Field Trip
Students from Safety Harbor Elementary School got a special lesson in fire safety at Station House 52 on Tuesday.

As part of the Safety Harbor Fire Department's efforts to build strong ties in the community, they have been walking students from Safety Harbor Elementary School to Fire Station 52 for almost 30 years.
Yesterday, following a special ceremony where the winners of an art contest were given a ride to school on a fire engine, the department kept that tradition alive by taking two kindergarten classes back to the station.
While there, department officials taught the kids the importance of not just fire safety, but safety in general, such as knowing their address in case they were to get separated from their parents during an event like 3rd Friday.
