Reader Spotlight: Carmen Brandy Speaks About Bullying

Local singer/songwriter Carmen Brandy is known for making many performances in the area as she traces a path to what she hopes will be country music stardom.

But what many people don't know about the 14-year-old Safety Harbor Middle School student is that she was bullied quite a bit when she was younger, and those experiences have formed the basis of some of her songs.

Tonight Carmen opens up about her experiences with bullying with a Town Hall style meeting at her school titled "Bulling- When Stalking & Harassment Crosses the Line".

Thanks to Carmen not only for posting this event on Patch, but for having the courage to speak out about this important issue and possibly helping other students learn how to avoid or deal with similar situations.
