Reader Spotlight: Pizza Party Auction Helps Rescue Dog's Surgery

Patch reader Chris Jones uploaded this announcement to our sites about a former rescue dog in need of surgery to repair a seriously injured shoulder.

Open Hearth Pizza is auctioning off a pizza party for up to 40 people in the greater Tampa Bay area in order to help raise money for Barnum, a golden retriever/Anatolian rescue dog rescued by Cathy Books of the Mississippi Pyrenees Rescue back in 2004.

The bidding for the deal began at $300 and will end at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.
