Reader Spotlight: 'We Can Carefully Teach Respect and Loving Kindness'

Reader Barbara Finkelstein made this comment in response to Amy Bryant's blog post.

Amy Bryant's initial blog post on Safety Harbor Patch has drawn a lot of interest and comments from readers, many of whom were touched by the emotional heft of the piece.

Longtime Patch reader Barbara Finkelstein had this to say in response to Bryant's post, which deals with the issues of racism and equality:

Amy, thank you for your forthrightness. The words from a song in "South Pacific" replay day after day, "you've got to be carefully taught to hate the people that all of your relatives hate...." We can also "carefully teach" respect and loving kindness. I look forward to more of your blogs.
