Tampa Flights Delayed by Winter Mess in Northeast

The slushy snow and freezing rain that has been making life miserable in the Northeast is having an impact on travelers at the Tampa International Airport.

Flights are delayed to and from New Jersey, New York and other states experiencing harsh winter weather.

According to the FAA's flight status information:

• Flights to Newark International Airport, Newark, NJ, are averaging delays of 2 hours and 52 minutes.
• Flights to Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia, PA, are averaging delays of 1 hour.
• Flights to La Guardia Airport, New York, will not be allowed to depart until at or after 10:30 a.m.
• Flights to Teterboro Airport, Teterboro, NJ, will not be allowed to depart until at or after 10:45 a.m.
