What to Know If You Go: 2013 Safety Harbor Seafood Festival

The annual event promises to pack people in at the Marina this weekend.

Safety Harbor seafood lovers, rejoice: the annual Seafood Festival at the Marina begins at 5 p.m. Friday.

Of course you don't have to love crab legs and conch fritters — or be a resident of the Harbor — to enjoy one of the biggest outdoor events on the city's calendar; out-of-towners and land-lubbers are just as welcome to attend.

The two-day event kicks off Friday evening at 5 with a performance by local rockers the Jimmy Griswold Band and will run through Saturday night, when smoky blues singers the Betty Fox Band take the event stage.
