The wait is finally over for those of you who have been following the progress of Woodstock on 5th.

The new entertainment themed eatery located at the intersection of 5th Avenue North and 2nd Street North officially opened on Thursday evening, one day prior to its grand opening tonight during Third Friday.

On Wednesday, owner Stann Cherniack held a private party for friends and family, and he was thrilled to report the guests said the place was a hit.

"Last night we had about 300 people here," Cherniack said on Thursday. "It was outrageous. The response was great. They all said they think we're going to be a staple in Safety Harbor."

Judging from the reaction of the crowd on Thursday, things are so far so good for Cherniack's business.

Georgia Young, past of a large group of friends who traveled from Clearwater to check the place out, learned that she actually knew of Cherniack from his days as a club owner in New York.

"I used to go to Stann's club in New York - it was to die for," she said. There was always a line to get in the place. It was the hottest place in town."

When asked if she felt the same would be true for his new establishment, she was emphatic.

"Oh my God, yes. Absolutely. As soon as I found out he was the owner, I knew it was going to be good."

"I plan on coming here all the time," she added.
