2 Children Killed, Woman Injured In Sarasota Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
Police are looking for a driver that killed two young children and critically injured a woman in a Monday night crash, Sarasota police said.

SARASOTA, FL — Two young children died and a woman critically injured after the pedestrians were hit by a car Monday night in Sarasota, authorities said. The driver left the scene.
The hit-and-run crash happened in the area of North Washington Boulevard and 7th Street around 8:30 p.m., according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.
Officers who responded to the scene learned that the car involved in the crash, a white Lexus ES300 from 2013 to 2018, had left the area.

The victims, a 29-year-old woman, a 2-year-old and a 5-month-old, were brought to area hospitals as trauma alerts.
The two children died from their injuries and the woman was in critical condition as of Tuesday night, police said.

Investigators are seeking public assistance in helping to find the car involved in the crash, which has damage to the right front quarter panel and windshield.
It was last seen heading south on North Washington Boulevard before making a u-turn at 5th Street and making an eastbound turn onto 7th Street.
