2 People Find Body Near Whitaker Bayou: Sarasota Police
The cause of death remains under investigation, according to the Sarasota Police Department.
SARASOTA, FL — The Sarasota Police Department is conducting a death investigation along the 1900 block of North Tamiami Trail.
Just before 4 p.m. Thursday, police said two people found the body of an adult near the shore of Whitaker Bayou.
"It’s too early in the investigation to tell if foul play is suspected," police said in a news release.

The medical examiner is working to determine the official cause of death.
