2 Sarasota Men Allegedly Deliver 'Young Black Female' For Sex
2 Sarasota men were charged with human trafficking and other offenses after allegedly delivering a "young black female" to undercover cops.

SARASOTA, FL — Two Sarasota men were charged with human trafficking and other offenses Tuesday after allegedly delivering a "young black female" to undercover police officers in a sting operation along with drugs for the woman to take while she engaged in sex.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jeremy Johnson of Dixie Avenue and 32-year-old Zolia Williams of 24th Street were also charged with drug and weapon offenses, according to the Sarasota Police Department.
"During a search of the vehicle Williams and Johnson arrived in, officers found multiple pills, hidden in a flashlight, including clonazepam, which is a sedative that can treat seizures, panic disorder and anxiety," explained Genevieve Judge of the Sarasota Police Department in announcing the arrests Wednesday.

"Officers also found a Krazy Glue container with 11 pieces of crack cocaine on Johnson’s person and a Glock 36 firearm in the back-hatch area of the vehicle," Judge said.
Arrest documents said undercover officers made arrangements with Johnson to deliver the woman so she could perform sex acts with multiple people in a hotel room for an undisclosed amount of money.

Judge said the investigation into human trafficking grew out of multiple drug investigations that have been conducted by Sarasota detectives in July. Investigators learned of Johnson's possible involvement in sex trafficking during the drug investigations.
The sting operation was conducted by Sarasota Police detectives and officers with the Street Crimes Unit. Police did not say where the sting operation took place.
"Johnson and Williams provided illicit street drugs for an additional undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, for the sole purpose of having the victim consume drugs while performing sexual acts," said Judge.
Williams is charged with human trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and violation of probation for sale of a scheduled I or II.
Johnson is charged with human trafficking, possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a weapon during a criminal offense.
Both Williams and Johnson were taken to Sarasota County Jail ahead of a scheduled first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon.
