2 Teens Among 3 People Arrested In Shooting: Sarasota Police
A 14-year-old boy was charged with attempted murder in a shooting that injured another teen, Sarasota police said.
SARASOTA, FL — Three people, including two teenagers, were arrested in connection with a Tuesday morning shooting in north Sarasota.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 5 a.m. in the 1800 block of 29th Street, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.
A “juvenile,” whose age wasn’t released, suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was brought to a local hospital, police said. The victim’s identity is being withheld under Marsy’s Law.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fatima Williams, 36, was arrested and charged with child neglect, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
It’s Patch policy not to name minors accused of crimes unless they’re charged as adults. It’s unknown whether the two teens arrested were charged as juveniles or adults.
