4 Charged With Selling Cocaine as Part of Police Sweep

Sarasota Police conducted the warrant sweep and undercover operation earlier this week near Shenandoah Park.

A warrant sweep and undercover narcotics operation near Shenandoah Park netted eight arrests earlier this week, including four people accused of selling cocaine, according to Sarasota Police.

The department conducted the operations Tuesday in the area east of North Washington Boulevard, between Seventh and Ninth streets.

  • Roxanne Callahan, 34, of North East Avenue; charged with sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park (warrant)
  • Vaugn Herrera, 19, of Fifth Street; charged with sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park (warrant)
  • Gabriel Galvin, 24, of Fourth Street; charged with sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park (warrant)
  • A 16-year-old charged with sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park (warrant), possession of cocaine and smuggling contraband into a detention facility
  • Pedro Milo, 64, of 18th Street; charged with solicitation of prostitution
  • Jovany Ortiz, 18, of North East Avenue; charged with obstruction of justice
  • Stephen Moy, 27, of Wood Street; charged with purchase of cocaine

Patch is withholding the name of the 16-year-old charged in the case because he is a minor.
