5 Charged In Sarasota Prostitution Sting
Sarasota Police have announced the arrest of five men after a recent operation meant to crack down on prostitution.
SARASOTA, FL — A recent undercover operation conducted by the Sarasota Police Department to crack down on prostitution along Tamiami Trail netted five arrests.
The operation took place along North Tamiami Trail on Wednesday. Its results were announced on Friday.
The city’s police department conducts such undercover operations periodically to target men soliciting prostitutes, an email from the agency noted. Those arrested during Wednesday’s crackdown were:

Ephrian K. Myles, 50, of Sarasota
- Charge: Solicitation for Prostitution
Christopher T. Duro, 46, Erie, Pennsylvania

Lance Duggan, 35, Sarasota
- Charge: Solicitation for Prostitution
Gerio Ferreira Da Costa, 33, Osprey
- Charge: Solicitation for Prostitution. Da Costa’s vehicle was also seized under city ordinance.
David A. Lewis, 30, Sarasota
- Charge: Solicitation for Prostitution. Lewis’ vehicle was also seized under city ordinance.
