5 Things: ABBA, Avant Garden, 'Raisin in the Sun' and More
Dr. Matthew McLendon, associate curator of contemporary art at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, will moderate a panel discussion about the making of Avant Garden with the artists of S/aRt/Q.

1. Need a smile for your Tuesday? Whether you sing the tunes or laugh at the campy factor of the '70s, you'll probably want to check out ABBA The Concert at tonight. Sing along to hits "Mamma Mia,” “S.O.S,” “Money, Money, Money,” “The Winner Takes All,” “Waterloo,” “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme” and “Dancing Queen.” Show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets cost $10-$50.
2. Hear straight from the S/aRt/Q artists who created art based on the plants. There's a panel discussion tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Selby's Great Room by the Bay. The free program discusses the exhibit Avant Garden. Dr. Matthew McLendon, associate curator of contemporary art at the , will moderate the discussion about the making of Avant Garden with the artists of S/aRt/Q. No reservations are required, but seating is limited.
3. If you're in need of some compelling drama, plan ahead for the production of Raisin in the Sun. The play opens Friday, then performances will run Tuesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $28 and may be purchased online www.wbttsrq.org or by calling 941-366-1505.
