57-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured in Morning Crash

The Sarasota man was driving his motorcycle when he struck a car making a left turn.

A 57-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to Blake Medical Center Tuesday morning, after he struck a car on U.S. 301, as the vehicle was turning into a gas station.

John Hart, 57, of Milford Circle, Sarasota, was driving his motorcycle north, when it struck a gold car driven by Nicholas Morales, 30, of Taro Place, Sarasota County.

Morales was making a left turn into a Shell gas station parking lot off U.S. 301 and Fruitville Road.

For unknown reasons at this time, Hart's motorcycle hit Morales' car.

Hart's injuries required an airlift to Blake Medical Center via Bayflight.  Morales was not injured.
