70-Year-Old Sarasota Man Reported Missing

The public is asking to keep an eye out to see if they can find or spot missing 70-year-old Herbert Boughn.

The is searching for Boughn, who was last seen leaving his home at about 2 a.m. Thursday.

Family members told the sheriff's office that Boughn drove away from his house on Pasadena Court in a 2006 silver Chevy Silverado with Florida license tag 914MVU. Herbert is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and has white hair and glasses.

Herbert has health issues and may be endangered. He made statements about possibly traveling back to Iowa where he is from, according to the sheriff's office.

The public is urged to be on the lookout for Boughn and his truck. It's possible that a Silver Alert could be issued by the state for Boughn.
