City Overdue Parking Ticket Fine Amnesty Program Extended

The City of Sarasota Overdue Parking Fine Amnesty program will be extended through Oct. 31 to give seasonal residents a chance to participate.

"As the initial program wrapped up at the end of September, we noticed some good momentum with people paying their old citations,” said Parking Manager Mark Lyons.  “Also, our seasonal residents are beginning to return, so this will give them an opportunity to learn about the program and participate.”

To pay, click here or visit www.SarasotaPD.org, and click on “Pay a Citation”, then click on  and enter your license plate number.

There are several ways to pay a past due parking ticket:

  • Pay in person:

Sarasota Police Headquarters  (first floor)

2099 Adams Lane

  • Pay via mail

Parking Division

Unpaid parking tickets dating back to 2002 total approximately $700,000.  The Parking Division is making every effort to collect those funds.

Since the program started in August, nearly 200 past due parking tickets were paid generating almost $10,000 in revenue.  Also, over 5,000 website inquiries were conducted to determine whether an unpaid parking ticket was attached to a license tag.
