SARASOTA – To honor the 12 Latin American countries represented by the student body, Gocio Elementary School is hosting a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10.
The event will include a parade of flags, a fashion show, traditional dancing by students from Sarasota School of Arts and Sciences and a concert by singer Lily Cortes, who performs Bossa Nova, Mariachi and Salsa music, among other genres.
The celebration is free and open to the public.
