Gulf Coast Donor Gives $100,000 to Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School

Veronica Brady, senior vice president for philanthropy at Gulf Coast Community Foundation, presented a grant check on behalf of a Gulf Coast donor to Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School President Sister Lucia Haas, SND, and Board Chair Stephen McDonald on June 6.

The anonymous $100,000 gift from a donor advised fund at Gulf Coast will support the Sister M. Lucia Haas Scholarship Endowment, established by The Patterson Foundation to provide tuition assistance for CMHS students.

Through a challenge grant from The Patterson Foundation, donations to the endowment will be matched dollar-for-dollar. The new gift brings CMHS to within $160,000 of its fundraising goal of $1 million.
