Manasota League Of Cities Hosts Seminar On Abandoned, Foreclosed Properties

The ManaSota League of Cities will hold a special presentation entitled “Abandoned, Foreclosed or Bankrupt Properties - What Can Cities Do” on November 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Sarasota City Hall, 1565 First Street.  The public is invited to attend.

City of Ft. Myers City Attorney Grant Williams Alley will provide a presentation detailing the program and discuss the aspect of registering mortgagees to identify property ownership and enforce maintenance of those types of properties.  The Slum Property Sign program instituted by the City of Ft. Myers also will be discussed. 

The regular meeting of the ManaSota League of Cities will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the presentation is scheduled for 10 a.m.

The ManaSota League of Cities consists of municipalities located in Manatee and Sarasota Counties.  Sarasota County is a voting member and Manatee County is an Associate Member.
