SARASOTA FL - New top officers have been elected by Manasota SCORE, which provides free mentoring to new and established businesses.
Chairman for the upcoming year is Greg Hoffmann, of Longboat Key, president of Hoffmann Consulting (http://www.hoffmannconsulting.com), which offers strategic planning and business services in brand management and licensing. He is an adjunct professor in the entrepreneurship program of Webster University's business school, serves on a number of charitable boards and is a volunteer at Mote Marine Laboratory. Mr. Hoffman moved from St. Louis, where he spent an entrepreneurial career in law, brand management and licensing, retail and publishing.
Vice Chairman is Nicki Lynch, who was a business process analyst working with CFOs of several Fortune 500 companies including AT&T. After nearly 10 years of business, she recently sold her web design and multimedia firm, and is now an Internet Consultant for businesses. Alongside her husband, she has also created Sarasota's Righteous Entertainment, (http://www.RighteousEnt.com) a film, television and internet video production company.

Treasurer is Joe May, who holds a B.S. and an M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island and was executive vice president and chief credit officer of a major bank. Most recently he was with Whitney National Bank of Louisiana. He is a past chairman of RMA, the trade association for credit risk managers of the top 3000 banks. He has helped businesses get off to a successful start and others return to favorable operations after experiencing difficulties.
Secretary is Charles Sax, who moved to Sarasota from Ann Arbor, MI, and is a graduate of Case Institute of Technology. His background includes sales for Nalco Chemical Co., and he was president of Adco Technologies, which makes adhesives for the construction and automotive industries. He took Adco public on NASDAQ and then managed its sale.
