Medal Of Honor Recipient Receives Key To The City Of Sarasota

JHS CAPITAL ADVISORS WELCOMED MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT

 Sarasota, FLA.—JHS Capital Advisors, a Registered Securities Broker Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor, welcomed distinguished Medal of Honor recipient U.S. Army Specialist Salvatore A. Giunta to speak at the JHS 2012 National Conference on Oct. 12 at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, Florida. In addition, Sarasota Mayor Suzanne Atwell presented Specialist Giunta with the Key to the City.

President Barack Obama awarded the nation’s highest decoration for valor to Specialist Giunta on October 25th, 2010, making him the first living recipient of the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War. He was honored for “conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty” for actions he took in combat in Afghanistan in 2007, when he led his platoon under extreme enemy fire to defeat an ambush and recover a fellow American soldier.

“In the face of a withering attack, Specialist Giunta showed unwavering courage, selflessness and decisive leadership,” said Eileen M.
