Newly Remodeled Winn-Dixie Brings Fresh, New Shopping Experience To Sarasota

A new shopping experience has arrived at the Sarasota Winn-Dixie located at 5400 Fruitville Road and shoppers are invited to check out the remodeled 56,000-square foot store on Wed., June 20.  Guests will be pleased to find a myriad of upgraded departments and expanded services to accompany a new attitude in their new neighborhood store.

The newly renovated Fruitville Road store showcases Winn-Dixie’s newer format and features a warm, vibrant color palate. Customers will find vast improvements throughout the store, from the expansive selection of the season’s freshest fruits and vegetables in the produce department to the variety of hand carved meats and made-to-order meal solutions. 

Here’s a taste of what you’ll find 

The Fruitville Road Winn-Dixie has an extensive freshly prepared foods section serving chef-inspired entrees and side dishes for shoppers who value the ease of on-the-go meal solutions. Experienced chefs direct a full-service carving station featuring slow roasted prime rib, bourbon glazed salmon and oven roasted pork loin that offers a perfect combination of quality and convenience.  For guests who value variety, the store also offers a wide assortment of traditional Italian made-to-order meal options to choose from including lobster ravioli with scampi-style sauce, chicken alfredo linguini and grilled flatbread pizza, all of which are custom prepared, then baked in less than 3 minutes.

Winn-Dixie also offers freshly prepared chicken, tuna and pasta salads on a compound salad bar, highlighting 12 specialty varieties such as spinach antipasti, curried cous cous and green apple rocky road.  For guests with special dietary needs, the store expanded its selection of organic items and now provides a wider variety of gluten-free products.
