Payne Park Circus Playground Set To Open Saturday

Playcraft Systems announces the completion of the custom made circus themed playground at Payne Park, in downtown Sarasota, Florida.

The unveiling of this new playground is part of the inaugural Sarasota Sports Festival to be held Saturday, June 16 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. The festival is a FREE family fun day, intended to boost awareness of the transformation that has taken place at Payne Park. Since the city of Sarasota is known as “Circus City”, there will even be a special one-time only act performed by the famous Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at 9:30 a.m.

Playcraft Systems, manufactured by Krauss Craft, Inc., has developed a custom circus themed playground that is fully ADA accessible. This one-of-a-kind playground includes (2) state-of-the-art Revolution structures, a massive custom circus play structure complete with wheelchair ramps, and separate age appropriate areas for children 2-5 and 5-12.

From rock climbing walls, slides, crawl tubes, tire swings, climbers and spinners, to interactive game panels and shade roofs that look like circus tents, this playground has it all. The result is a blend of exciting colors and imaginative play for all ages!

Matt Gagnon, of Advanced Recreational Concepts, distributor of Playcraft Systems, was heavily involved in the design of the playground site and worked directly with Katrina Garland, Design Manager at Krauss Craft, Inc. “Matt informed us that the city wanted to make Payne Park come alive, so we designed a circus themed playground using our latest equipment as well as unique, custom play features intended to be fun, exciting and challenging for children of all ages. We also incorporated wheelchair ramps so that children of all abilities can enjoy the park.”
