Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota Leaders Earn Awards Of Excellence

Two of The , Sarasota’s Leadership Team are lauded for their outstanding achievements by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC and parent-company Marriott International.

Jaro Gutknecht has received The Director of Residences of The Year Award for 2011 from The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Gutknecht, Director for The Tower Residences at The Ritz Carlton, Sarasota, was recognized during the annual Residential Leadership Conference that took place in Dallas, Texas in May 2012. The Award honors the best performing Director across all disciplines including owner satisfaction, employee satisfaction, property management, financial performance and asset protection. The Ritz-Carlton Residential Division currently manages an international portfolio of 70 business units in over 45 locations representing a portfolio valued at $7 Billion.

The Tower Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota had the highest Owner Satisfaction in the company through Gallup Survey, 100% Employee Satisfaction, and the highest marks on all other measurable scorecards. Gutknecht joined The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota in 2001 as an opening team member and has been with The Residences since 2003.

The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota’s Director of Finance, Michael Seaman has been named Marriott Financial Leader of the Region 2011, for the Southern Region. This award recognizes the Finance Professional from each region who has demonstrated consistent outstanding financial leadership. “It will honor those with characteristics of a good leader who can ‘put it all together’, and who are risk-takers, innovators and champions of change to support the hotel’s quest for excellence,” said Patrick Walsh, VP of Finance, Marriott International. The designation distinguishes Seaman for achieving and supporting excellence in cost management, revenue consulting, Marriott Business Services processes, owner relations, employee satisfaction, working capital, financial results and other aspects of the control environment. Seaman has enjoyed 23 years with Marriott International including seven with The Ritz-Carlton brand. He joined The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota in 2010 and is a member of the resort’s Executive Team.
