
Newly formed Volunteer Community Connections received its nonprofit status on January 23, 2012, at the same time that Mindi Rohan assumed leadership.
“It is wonderful that Volunteer Community Connections will benefit from Mindi's diverse background and accomplishments, as well as her experience across the non-profit and government sectors. Mindi has a record of strong management, bold vision, and passion for our mission that will enable her to play a leading role in our success," said Board Chair Dennis Stover.
"She is poised to work effectively with the staff, board, community leaders, partners, and supporters to build on VCC's momentum."

With extensive experience in executive and non-profit leadership, and a strong track record of development, Rohan brings significant skills to this role. Most recently, she served as Director of Development for the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation, a global advocacy group focused on family support and research affecting Autism.
Prior to that, she served as Director of Development for the Jewish Housing Council Foundation and as Executive Director of an Indiana Charter School. Rohan will use her extensive and varied skills and experience to shape Volunteer Community Connection’s work in mobilizing volunteerism.

Mrs. Rohan remarked, "I am very excited for this opportunity and fully committed to creating a quality volunteer continuum that strengthens our community by connecting people with opportunities that builds non profit capacity for effectively engaging volunteers and expands VCC’S partnerships across all sectors.
Located at The Glasser-Schoenbaum Human Services Center, the mission of Volunteer Community Connections is to promote volunteerism and to be a regional resource connecting individuals to meaningful volunteer opportunities.
