Arrest Made In North Sarasota Shooting: Police

SARASOTA, FL — Local police and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested a Sarasota man Monday morning for a shooting earlier this month in North Sarasota.

Everett White, 44, of Sarasota, was arrested in an isolated shooting that happened Jan. 18 in the 4300 block of North Tamiami Trail, a police news release said. One adult was injured in the shooting.

White is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

He is being held in the Sarasota County Jail without bond.
