Art Center Sarasota, Theatre of the Mind To Stage 'Belle of Amherst'

Theatre of the Mind and Art Center Sarasota will present a fully staged play “The Belle of Amherst” by William Luce on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 4 p.m.

This production, directed by Eve Caballero stars Janet Davies.

Julie Harris won a Tony for her portrayal of poet Emily Dickinson in this one woman play that draws on the letters and poems of the reclusive New England poet to tell the story of her life and passions. Emily “interacts” with a variety of important people in her life including her editor, her family and the mysterious love of her life. 

Theatre of the Mind, established in 2010 by winter residents Emilie Robinson and Janet Davies, presents play readings and staged performances at  Art Center Sarasota.

Tickets cost $10 ACS Members/ $12 Non-Members. All proceeds are donated to benefit the Center.
