Barrier Island Water Gets Green Light After Irma
The boil water notice for Sarasota's barrier islands has been lifted.

SARASOTA, FL — Residents who live on one of Sarasota’s barrier islands have been given a green light to use their taps once more. The city announced Friday afternoon that the boil water notice put into place on Monday has officially been lifted.
The boil water notice went into place after Hurricane Irma steam rolled the area. The order affected Bird Key, St. Armands Key, Lido Key and Coon Key.
