SARASOTA, FL — The Bay Runner trolley added two new stops to its route Wednesday, the city of Sarasota wrote in a Facebook post.

The new stops are Sunset Drive/Golden Gate Point and John Ringling Boulevard/Bird Key Drive.

The stop at Sunset Drive/Golden Gate Point returns after the Florida Department of Transportation finished construction in the area, the city said.

The stop near Bird Key Drive is brand new.

The free trolley service, which launched in March 2022, travels between downtown Sarasota, St. Armand’s Circle, Lido Beach and Longboat Key.
