Buckle Up or Beware, Sarasota
Seat belts saved the lives of the Sarasota Police Chief's mother, daughter and nephew; now, her department is trying to do the same as part of the national Click It or Ticket campaign.

Buckle up or beware, Sarasota!
The Sarasota Police Department will be on the lookout for drivers who aren't wearing their seat belts as part of the national Click It or Ticket campaign around the clock from May 20 through June 2.
"This issue is important to Sarasota Police Chief (Bernadette) DiPino because she credits seatbelt usage to saving the life of her mother, daughter and nephew during a car crash in the early (1990s)," the department said in a media release. "Chief DiPino advises, 'Seatbelts save lives, please remember to buckle up!' "
