Burglary Suspect Caught on Tape
The Sarasota Sheriff's Office is investigating a residential burglary that happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of Mayflower Street.
A Sarasota burglary suspect is caught on a residential security video Sunday and authorities need help identifying him.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a residential burglary that happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of Mayflower Street.
The suspect was captured on video surveillance knocking on the front door of the home.

After receiving no answer, he walked around to the back of the home and entered through a rear door, the sheriff's office said.
The suspect can be seen exiting a short time later on the video.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years of age, tall, thin, dark short hair, last seen wearing brown hooded jacket, blue and brown plaid shorts, black low socks with white flip flops
The Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance with identifying the person captured in the attached video.
