Florida Woman Dies From Chemicals; Neighbors Asked To Stay Inside
People were asked to remain indoors after a woman apparently used a combination of chemicals to take her own life.

SARASOTA, FL — Some Sarasota County residents were asked to remain indoors for a time on Tuesday after a woman apparently used a combination of chemicals to take her own life.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office initially described the death investigation as a "chemical incident."
The woman's body was discovered around 10:57 a.m. in the 3500 block of Richwood Link Road, according to the Sheriff's Office. The woman's body was inside a vehicle.

"Due to the chemicals, hazmat personnel responded and a sweep was conducted of the nearby apartment complex," the sheriff's office said. "No one was injured however, residents were contained to their homes for a short period of time out of an abundance of caution."
The agency said the official cause of death would be determined by the Sarasota County Medical Examiner’s Office.

"When deputies and personnel from the Sarasota County Fire Department arrived, they confirmed the female was deceased," according to the sheriff's office.
The woman's name was being withheld pending notification of the next of kin
