Child Porn Arrest Nets 28-year-old Sarasota Man: Deputies

SARASOTA,FL - A 28-year-old Sarasota man was arrested by sheriff’s detectives on Wednesday for possession of child pornography. The sheriff’s office made the arrest after executing a search warrant at his home.

Detectives investigating Internet Crimes Against Children determined a particular Internet protocol (IP) address was used to download nearly 15,000 files previously identified as containing child pornography. Detectives confirmed the IP address was registered to a resident living at 4736 San Jose Drive, and obtained a search warrant for the home.

Detectives determined that Sean Emke lived there. During a search of his home and forensic scan of Emke’s computer, detectives confirmed at least 40 of the images were child pornography.

Emke was taken into custody and charged with 40 felony counts of possession: sexual performance by a child. He remains at the Sarasota County Jail without bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
