City of Sarasota Announces Thanksgiving Hours, Collection Changes
Solid waste collection schedules are modified for the week of Thanksgiving.
From City of Sarasota: Solid waste collection schedules will be modified this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. There will be no garbage, recycling, and yard waste pickup on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24.
Holiday collection will be delayed one day:
- Thursday collection will occur one day later on Friday, November 25
- Friday collection will be one day later on Saturday, November 26
City of Sarasota administration offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving. All offices will reopen on Monday, November 28.

Bobby Jones Golf Club, 1000 Circus Boulevard, will host the 8th Annual ‘Turkey Shoot’ starting at 8:45 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Lido Pool, 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, will be open Thanksgiving Day and the day after 10 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.

The Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 34th Street, will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Hours of operation on Friday: 6 a.m. – 10 a.m.
