Cops: Man Caught Driving Stolen Car in Sarasota
The Bradenton man was arrested Friday night by Sarasota Police.

A Bradenton man is charged with grand theft auto after officers say he was caught driving a stolen car in Sarasota.
Marvin Burke, 31, was spotted around 10:50 p.m. Friday driving a grey Nissan Cube matching the description of a vehicle reported stolen out of Manatee County, according to Sarasota Police.
When officers ran the tag, it came back to a white, Nissan four-door car and not the stolen car they were looking for, according to a police report.

Officers approached Burke when he pulled the car over in the 1700 block of 23rd Street in Sarasota and got out of the car, telling him the tag did not come back to the car he was driving.
Burke reportedly told them it was not his car but that he knew the owner.

Officers then ran the VIN number on the car, and it came back as stolen.
Burke was arrested without incident and taken to Sarasota County Jail.
