Deputy Shot Knife-Wielding Man: Sarasota County Sheriff
A deputy shot a man wielding a knife in Sarasota County, the sheriff's office said.
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL - A knife-wielding man was shot by a deputy Tuesday morning at a Sarasota County apartment complex.
Deputies responded to reports of a man armed with a knife in the 5000 block of Central Sarasota Parkway, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a social media post around 9:30 a.m.
He was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital as a trauma alert.
